West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo is expected to make wholesale changes as his Hammers side travel to Vicarage Road.

The East London outfit really turned things around at the weekend as we thrashed Southampton 4-1 in the Carabao up.

The whole attitude of the team changed. We played with confidence, fearlessness and attacking intent. However, Nuno is expected to make some changes, and he’d be right to.

Players like Golambeckis and Ajala were absolutely brilliant, but it probably comes too soon for a League start just yet.

My team to face Watford: Hermansen; Veltman, Mavropanos, Kilman, Walker-Peters; Orford, Engels, Mukasa; Bowen, Piroe, Solomon.

Maybe quite controversially, I would make seven changes from Tuesday’s winning side.

Hermansen comes back in between the sticks; Herrick was tidy, but Mads is the first choice.

I’d keep Veltman in at right back because he looked excellent, and I’d move KWP to left/back because I don’t really want to see Scarles start; Mayers could also be an option from the start.

I would be tempted to start Golambeckis, but if Mavropanos is back from his ‘knock’, he deserves another chance, despite an awful performance vs Charlton. Kilman has to start; there isn’t much other choice.

In midfield, Orford simply has to start; he has looked immense when he’s played so far this season. It was a toss-up between Kante and Engels, but Engels edges it as I’m eager to see if a partnership can develop with those two.

Kante was great against Southampton; however, he was the worst player on the park against Charlton, so I would expect him to drop to the bench for this one.

I would start Divine Mukasa as the creative hub of the team with Piroe ahead of him. I think the Surinamese forward is a lot more suited to playing up top on his own, and I’m not sure if Taty is 100% committed.

Nuno Espírito Santo will almost certainly not agree; however, he will likely revert to the 4-4-2 and play both Taty and Piroe.
