West Ham are exploring a potential agreement with Max Cornet to mutually terminate his contract, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The former Burnley winger has endured a torrid time in east London since his move in 2022, having been plagued by injury for much of his time and underwhelming loan stints.

Despite hopes he would rediscover the form he showed when playing for the Clarets during a successful period in his career, it’s now the case the club would rather cut ties and move on.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, our club insider has advised that the club are now looking at ending Cornets deal, which expires in the summer of 2027, so the player can look for a new club.

“We understand the club are now exploring a potential deal that will see Cornets deal ended, which is something I think many feel would be best for all parties.

“It’s still very much in the early stages but there is a potential mutual agreement to terminate his contract ahead of its expiry next year.”
