West Ham regained their place at the top of the league with a 6-0 thrashing of Wrexham.

The Welsh side might welcome us to Wrexham on Disney+; however, it wasn’t a very welcome first visit to Stratford for the Red Dragons on Friday night.

West Ham United completely played Wrexham AFC off the park on Friday night, and I must say it has been coming.

The Hammers had picked up three wins in a row prior to this fixture, and we really hadn’t played that well to do it. We had spells in games where we did look like the best team in the league, but equally we had spells when we looked poor, and the opposition looked better.

However, in this one, it was domination from start to finish, exactly what we’ve been building towards in the last couple of weeks since Nuno adopted a more attacking style against Wolves. A win like this was coming!

When we were relegated, we were all obviously disappointed; however, for a lot of us there was a bit of excitement. That excitement was for exactly what we saw last night. An easy win, six goals, six different scorers all assisting each other, a clean sheet, and a pretty good atmosphere.

It was a complete change from what we were experiencing for the last couple of years in the Premier League. I’m not sure I saw us score six goals in the whole of last season at home; we did it in one game last night.

With morale high in the camp after 4 wins on the bounce, a game on Tuesday against Fulham, which will allow Nuno to give some of the fringe players minutes. We’re going into the Millwall game in the best possible shape, which is huge for us.

Every game is huge, but these two Millwall games could make or break our season, and with the international break coming up straight after, we can’t afford to lose, and I really don’t think we will.

Last night was the best West Ham game I’ve been to in a while; now it’s time to build on that, attack this League and show them why this is the best squad to ever play in the division.
