West Ham felt the effects of Premier League quality in our Carabao Cup exit to Fulham this week.
Nuno’s much changed side produced a hard fought performance in the London derby, but ultimately we came up short and ExWHUEmployee feels that the level of quality especially in their finishing was evident.
“I think the game showed the difference between the Premier League and the Championship,” stated our club insider.
“In any other game I think we would have came away with a win but because they are Premier League level they took their chances and that was the difference.
“On the balance of play, a draw was probably the right result but they were just more clinical.
“Whilst I’m disappointed to be out of the cup, for the sake of our immediate goals of promotion it mate not be a bad thing.”
West Ham now turn attentions to facing bitter rivals Millwall at the Den on Saturday, knowing victory will mean we are top of the Championship for the proceeding international break.
