Sometimes it takes a performance from the other goalkeeper to make you realise what you haven’t got. On Friday night, that keeper was QPR’s Pierce Charles. He was the reason we drew 1-1 rather than won, and the more I think about it, the more it hurts. Look at what he did. As we piled…

Tomas Soucek had a disaster vs QPR after he returned from over three months out injured.  When Tomas Soucek was on the team sheet ahead of the match, a lot of West Ham fans, including myself, were buzzing. However, that buzz didn’t last too long at all. Soucek is a weapon in both boxes; he…

Taty Castellanos hasn’t been as good as West Ham fans had hoped this season.  There have recently been conversations among the West Ham fanbase that Taty Castellanos has broken the club’s striker curse, but I’m not too sure. I don’t think there were too many arguments about Taty last season; he was pretty solid when…

Nuno Espírito Santo hasn’t got West Ham anywhere near their best so far this season.  This season is panning out pretty much exactly how a lot of us predicted; we have been in and around the promotion spots, not because of our performances, but mainly because of the amount of talent in the squad. If ever there was a night for a natural defensive midfielder to at least sit on the bench, Friday was it. Yet Alvarez wasn’t even in the 20. As reported…

Mads Hermansen has had his chance. He’s had a long run as West Ham’s number one, and plenty of patience from supporters, and I’ve reached the point where I have to say it: I don’t think he’s good enough. With Alphonse Areola now back fit and in training, I think the time has come for…

Lost in all the fury over that penalty on Friday night was a small but significant sight in the stands: Daniel Kretinsky was at the London Stadium. The West Ham United Independent Supporters’ Committee confirmed it afterwards, as reported by Hammers News: “Shame about the penalties, but a fitting tribute to Ludo. And also great…

Three months ago, plenty of people had Konstantinos Mavropanos packing his bags. Today he’s the Championship’s Player of the Month, and he has finally set the record straight. Speaking to The Sun after picking up his September award, Dinos said: “It was a difficult moment for the club getting relegated. There were too many ups…
