Jarrod Bowen has issued a war cry ahead of our London derby clash with Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.

West Ham head into the match in good form, having lost only once in our last seven matches in all competitions, whilst Spurs are currently on a two-match losing run.

Despite this, the hosts are set to provide another stern test for David Moyes’ side, with the Scot eager to showcase that his Hammers team have turned a corner this season and are now in a position to climb away from the wrong end of the Premier League table.

Bowen, who’s personal form has shown signs of great improvement of late, has acknowledged the importance of the game in North London – stating that the players are very determined to get all three points.

“It is a massive game!” Bowen told the clubs Official Website. “It’s a big derby again. The fans and players will be right up for it, so we want to go there and win it.”

The West Ham winger has not hidden away from the clubs current predicament, but like many he feels of late our Irons are starting to show signs of the successful side of old under Moyes – difficult to beat and never out even when in a losing position.

“We don’t hide away from our position,” added Bowen. “If you look at the league you can win two on the bounce and get back up to mid-table and give yourself some breathing space.

“But we know it is not going to be handed to us. We have got to earn it. We have had positive signs against two top teams, Chelsea and Newcastle United, where we have gone behind in both games and shown the old West Ham: coming back, showing resilience and fighting spirit.”
