West Ham tonight kick off our Pre-Season fixture schedule ahead of the new campaign, with a trip to Hertfordshire to face Boreham Wood.

It will mark the first occasion in which our Hammers will wear the new 2023/24 home kit, which was revealed earlier today by the club officially, with The West Ham Way offering fans a chance to win a free kit every month, all season long.

The game against the National League side will give plenty of players the perfect opportunity to shake off the summer cobwebs and showcase their abilities to David Moyes ahead of the Premier League kick off in just over a months time.

Although much of the attention to these fixtures is based around fitness building rather than results, there is no doubt that many will be expecting to see a positive and commanding performance to set the tone for a positive Pre-Season,

One key inclusion to the squad tonight is Italian international Gianluca Scamacca, who interestingly has been assigned the number 11 shirt – the one worn by Lucas Paqueta last season. Meaning, Paqueta could well be made the number 10, followjng the release of Manuel Lanzini.

Many will be hoping to see a positive showing from Scamacca following a tough first year in East London, which was sadly disrupted by injury. Tonight could be the perfect occasion for the Italian to remind fans and Moyes of what he can offer.

Tonights match kicks off at 7pm and is not being televised.
