West Ham are hopeful of completing the signing of Carlos Borges, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Our Hammers are in the process of strengthening the side ahead of the new season, and it appears that the Manchester City winger Borges is likely to be the first major signing of the summer.

It was exclusively reported by our club insider and Podcast co-host ExWHUEmployee in early June of the clubs interest in Borges, and it now appears that a deal with the champions is edging closer to being concluded with the Portuguese in line to sign a long-term contract.

Ex, reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, stated that talks are progressing well although there are a few items to finalise to get it over the line.

“The interest we reported in Manchester City winger/forward Carlos Borges in early June has turned into him being the closest to joining the club as our second signing behind Sean Moore this summer,” stated our man-in-the-know.

“There are a few things to finalise with his move yet but he is seen as the most likely player to join and this could be concluded soon if negotiations continue to progress.

“There is some interest in his team mate Harwood-Bellis but no offer has been submitted as yet and other targets are preferred. Discussions over a double deal for him and Borges were verbally discussed but at the moment this deal is not on the cards for now.”
