West Ham have made a verbal offer for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, which has subsequently been rejected.

It has been reported by ExWHUEmployee for many months of our keen interest on the England midfielder, with West Ham looking to make a formal move in the previous January transfer window, however now this summer the club are pushing further to land his signature.

Our Hammers though are expected to face competition for Gallaghers signature, with rivals Spurs said to also be keen on the Chelsea player, along with Newcastle and Brighton.

“We can confirm that a verbal offer has gone in for Conor Gallagher of Chelsea following on from the interest we have been reporting,” stated our club insider on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“Tottenham are said to also be interested in a move for the England international, however Chelsea may be more reluctant to deal with them due to previously strained relationships where as we actually maintain a good relationship with our West London rivals.”

Since the verbal offer was made, Ex has reported that Chelsea have rejected the proposal. Therefore the club are now in the process of evaluating the situation, with other others for players made also.

“We have had it confirmed as reported above that the Gallagher enquiry has been rejected,” added Ex. “The club will evaluate other enquiries that have gone in and determine which offers to go back on.”

Ex will be keeping fans up to date on the progress of the situation on Patreon.
