West Ham have completed the loan signing of Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City.

The England midfielder has put pen to paper on the deal, that will see him set to make his debut for our Hammers in our next match against Bournemouth next Thursday night at the London Stadium.

It was confirmed earlier on The West Ham Way Patreon by ExWHUEmployee, with the club set to formally announce tomorrow morning.

The signing is seen as a coup and a real statement of intent from the club, who are eager to strengthen as we look to mount a serious challenge for European football for the 4th consecutive season.

Our club insider Ex, who broke the Phillips interest at the beginning of the window, is understandably delighted that the former Leeds captain has finally arrived in east London.

“I think this is a brilliant signing,” exclaimed Ex. “It is very rare you can get a current England international who cost £42 million pounds a few summers earlier on loan.

“He is a leader and a great lad who will add needed aggression and quality to our midfield. We now have some great options there and credit to everyone involved who has got this deal over the line.”

The West Ham Way will be providing further details of the deal later today, with ExWHUEmployee obtaining information surrounding the clauses within the loan arrangement.
