Everton are reportedly interested in signing Said Benrahma this January despite their ongoing FFP issues.

Unfortunately, the name Said Benrahma leaves a sour taste in the mouth of West Ham fans. When he was first signed from Brentford, fans were ecstatic. A young, pacey, skillful winger who should have taken the Premier League by storm. However, it seems like he has slowly lost everything that made him so successful in the Championship and it seems like we could have seen the last of him in claret and blue.

A number of clubs have shown interest in acquiring his services, including teams from Saudi Arabia, France and the Premier League. According to talkSPORT, another English club has entered the race for the Algerian with Everton weighing up a move.

Our own ExWHUEmployee has revealed that the Hammers are eager to sell the 28 year old in order to raise funds for a new signing. It was expected that Ibrahim Osman would be his replacement, in light of recent news that may no longer be the case.

TalkSPORT now believe that it is Jonathan Rowe that West Ham will target instead. The Norwich winger has had a ridiculously good breakout season, scoring 12 goals and assisting a further 2 in 27 games. At just 20 years old, he could be an incredible signing – with his potential he could end up being a regular in the England squad.

Unsurprisingly, it is not just Benrahma who could be leaving this month with Pablo Fornals reportedly getting closer to a move to Real Betis.

Sadly, much like Fornals, Benrahma scored one of the most important goals in West Ham’s history last season, but just has not been up to the standards required. He may be written into East London folklore, but it is fair to assume that he will not look back on his time at the club all that fondly.
