West Ham today take on relegation threatened Burnley at the London Stadium needing a win to keep pace in the hunt for Europe.

Domestically, our Hammers go into the game off the back of consecutive victories, against Brentford and Everton, although David Moyes’ side suffered defeat in Europe in midweek so are looking to bounce back quickly.

The visit of Vincent Kompanys Burnley today is seen as the ideal fixture, with West Ham going in as overwhelming favourites, so it should be the perfect tonic to get things back on track.

It’s very much the case now that the race of European football next season is on, with pressure on the cockney boys today, following Manchester United’s win over Everton yesterday.

Ahead of today’s Premier League clash, our Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee gave his thoughts on the game, stating that a much needed performance from midweek is needed.

“Another important game and a must win,” stated Ex. “If you was to pick a fixture to win, Burnley at home is that fixture – we have to make sure we do.

“Thursdays performance was not great so we need to bounce back and show that things have turned the corner again! 6th place should be our challenge and with Manchester United winning yesterday we need to do so ourselves.”
