West Ham take on Wolves today in what many see as a must-win for David Moyes’ side.

Our Hammers enter the business end of the season knowing victory today would be a huge step towards European football next season.

The hosts though today will be feeling the same, so West Ham’s lack of victories this calendar year so far really needs to be addressed and fast.

Moyes will be more than aware of the magnitude of the fixture in the midlands today, so there is hope West Ham will adopt an attacking purpose to grab the 3 points against our European chasing rivals.

Our Podcast duo Dave Walker and ExWHUEmployee have provided their thoughts ahead of the game, stating that although it’s a regularly used term, but today really is a must win.

“The next three games are really important starting with today,” said Walker. “We really need a win, we are so fortunate to be 7th despite only winning two games this year, that has to change.”

Ex agreed with Walker, whilst adding that the return of Edson Alvarez to the lineup will significantly improve matters for David

Moyes and our chances of success.

“I feel I say this every week but another massive game for our European league chances,” said Ex. “Wolves are around us and a difficult side but we need to pick up point to stand a chance of a European place.

“The return of Alvarez is a big plus for us and I hope with him added to the side, the good performance against spurs can be replicated and a good result achieved.”
