West Ham are in the process of identifying targets for a busy summer ahead, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.
As the club fight on the pitch this season to achieve European football again for the next, having exited the Europa League this week, there is now much work going into rebuilding the squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
With many of our current squad seeing their deals expiring this summer and with the club possibly having a new manager at the helm, should David Moyes depart, then it’s expected to be a very busy summer in east London.
Although there is still football to be played this season, with West Ham still in with an outside chance of achieving European football, our Technical Director has his network of scouts identifying potential targets for the upcoming transfer window.
Reporting previously on The West Ham Way Podcast, our club insider ExWHUEmployee provided an update on the situation at present.
“Steidten has scouts across various countries as we look to identify targets, including Greece where we continue to have an interest in Panathinaikos striker Fotis Ioannidis,” said our club insider.
“Our Technical Director has also been in Brazil with a number of players having been scouted. It’s hoped we can unearth some potential gems there.
“It’s also understood we have players being scouted across Europe, in particular Germany and France.”
Our club insider will be keeping fans fully up to date on the transfer situation as it develops further, with the club expected to be making moves in the market this summer.
