Highly rated West Ham youth prospect could do the unthinkable and move to the club’s rivals this Summer.

The lack of opportunities for youth players is becoming extremely frustrating for both supporters and players. This current group of youngsters is one of the most highly rated in the clubs history, and there are so many of them who should be getting chances to prove themselves. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, David Moyes has refused to use them, only giving a few of them any sort of minutes.

Understandably, this has caused some to question whether West Ham is the right place for them to continue their development. After all, it must be worrying not being able to see a path into the first team, no matter how good you’re playing and how highly you’re rated by the coaching staff.

One such player who is having to consider their future is Dan Rigge, according to Fabrizio Romano, with Tottenham Hotspur showing interest in acquiring the 18-year-old midfielder. “Tottenham are currently leading the race to sign 2006 born talented midfielder Dan Rigge from West Ham,” Fabrizio posted on X.

“There are four clubs in the race, Rigge’s happy at West Ham after positive season, but several clubs are prepared to test the water in the next weeks.”

Hopefully, assuming Moyes is going at the end of the season, the next manager can come in and restore faith in the youth players that they will get their opportunity if they’re good enough rather than dead wood with nothing to prove being used ahead of them.
