David Moyes is in no doubt a far more buoyant mood having seen his West Ham side turn a big corner in the last week.

The start of this campaign has seen his Hammers side struggle for form and more importantly results, having gathered 5 losses from the opening 7 matches to put the boss in somewhat unexpected pressure following back-to-back successful seasons.

Moyes to his credit though hasn’t wavered, and has continuously maintained that the signs were there that the results would soon turn. And thankfully, the boss was spot on with out Hammers now coming off the back of 3 consecutive victories in all competitions.

Whilst performances aren’t quite at the level us West Ham fans have come accustomed to, there is certainly signs we are starting to click as a team, with the big summer arrivals beginning to show why our board seriously spent on them in the transfer window.

Lucas Paqueta arrived for a club record fee with quite rightly a lot of excitement. The Brazilian international is highly regarded as one of the most gifted midfielders in the world and his acquisition is one that took many by surprise.

The former Lyon playmaker is now showing why he carries such a weight of expectation around him, as game by game he is looking more accustomed to the Premier League, and therefore its no surprise he’s delivered 2 assists in his last 2 outings for our Hammers.

The link up play also with our new star striker Gianluca Scamacca is developing fast too, with the pair showing an understanding that will have fans salivating at the thought of what they could bring to our football club.

Scamacca himself is now looking the real deal, the all-round striker we have been craving in East London for what seems like an eternity. ExWHUEmployee this week compared the Italian to former striker Dean Ashton and couldn’t contain his excitement in our new front man.

“I am so so excited by Scamacca,” said Ex on The West Ham Way Podcast. “He looks the complete package and we can all see he can deliver at this level.”
