Monaco already signed former Marseille player and rumoured West Ham target Benjamin Mendy 2 days ago and now seem set to add another Irons target to their ranks.
Lille are reported to have agreed a €15m fee with Monaco for their fullback Djibril Sidibe according to L’Equipe.
The former French U21 international had recently stated that he had offers from the Premier League and would have to weigh up all of his options before making a decision on his new club but that playing in the Champions League would certainly be an attraction.
Monaco seem to have gone back in for the player after they had an original €12m offer rejected. Sidibe is predominantly a right back but showed his versatility last season when he played left back for Lille.
Originally it seemed that West Ham were interested in at least picking up an experienced right back on a free transfer this Summer after reported interest in Van der Wiel and Gokhan Gonul but recent reports seem to point towards Michail Antonio switching permanently to that position next year and competing with Sam Byram.
The Hammers still lack depth at left back however with only Aaron Cresswell currently under contract, and U21 development squad player Lewis Page the only other option after Stephen Hendrie completed his one year loan switch to Blackburn Rovers.
