This week we have a very good dangerous Attacking Full back in Ricardo Pereira from Porto .
He spent a years loan at Nice in Ligue 1 and really impressed
Notching 4 assists and being one of the top defenders in
Ligue 1 last season.
Nice have had some very good full backs recently in the past few seasons.
Amavi was one who I really liked, unfortunately he went to Aston Villa, got a bad injury and obviously Villa wasn’t the best of places to go anyway.
Back to Pereira … he has shown himself to be good in the tackle, very strong with the ball driving forward well whilst being good with his defensive responsibilities.
He holds onto the ball well, reliable player you can count on.
He is Right Back who can also cover left back no problem and he was actually played more Left back for Nice.
He is ok using his left foot when needed, so not a player who heavily relies on his dominant foot.
He has no problem passing it around from the back, comfortable, determined and composed player.
He has can make the key passes on the break, passes between the lines showing good vision.
He is for me the total full back you need these days, defends well in the air and on the floor whilst having the ability to assist players going forward.
He is consistently good, one of the key reasons why Nice had a very good season, they made some very good signings.
With Cresswell injured for West Ham Ricardo would definitely for me be a Target for us.
He would certainly be a fan favourite with his work rate, skill and overall ability.
