Personal Information
JOSE LUIS GAYA
Age: 21 years
Height: 5ft 7in
Positions : Left Back – Left Wing Back
Nationality: Spanish
Current Team: Valencia
Background
This week we have a future world class left back in Jose Gaya.
Born in Pedreguer , Spain .
Top clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester City have been tracking him for a while, the young star from Valencia who also produced Jordi Alba currently of Barcelona is one to watch.
Gaya has been capped at all the younger age groups for Spain and I’m sure he will be called up for the Senior Spanish National team in the future.
Style of play
Jose Gaya is a very creative Left Wing Back.
His strengths are his delivery combined with his athleticism.
A great weapon to have in a team, he delivers crosses with pinpoint accuracy and has to be one of the best about.
He will always look to create and shows good courage in consistently trying to create chances going forward. Gaya is very effective going forward.
Defensively he is very hard working and committed also, will strive to get back and be reliable on and off the ball.
I’m not sure he will ever be that great in the air but it’s something that can be worked on.
He is good enough in the tackle and intelligent in his defensive work.
For a striker he is an absolute dream to have as your teammate, you are certain he will create you a few fair chances each game.
If Gaya was to come to the Premier League, he would need to work on his Strength but other than that I think he would be fine.
He has everything to suit a Team who enjoy huge amounts of possession.
He is very comfortable in possession of course, scores the odd great goal with his superb technique.
Definitely one to watch.
