Where to begin. After a turbulent week with headlines around one player, we headed into this game knowing everyone connected with the club had to unite and come together. United we were and it reminded us why it’s in our name. The atmosphere, emotions and overriding happiness from the team to the stands were shared by all. Join me and Evan as we laugh and smile with the fans. There is such genuine passion and excitement at seeing out first convincing performance at home in the league this season. We meet lots of passionate fans after the match and we hope to see a lot more in future matches.
We also have Frankie’s VLog from the game too. What a win! Frank vlogs what was an extraordinary game against Crystal Palace, with one of the goals of the season by Andy Carroll! Today was a game to show that we are not a one man team and we are all united as one behind Slaven. Frank’s reactions are brilliant and gets some brilliant footage of some chants, goals and much more. Make sure to subscribe to his youtube channel as he is closing in on 200 subscribers! COYI!
It’s what the club needed. After such huge changes with the new stadium, it felt like the club and fans were divided and we were all at loggerheads with the owners, manager and players. But we are West Ham and when we pull together we are brilliant. And that’s exactly what we needed. Amazing performance and the passion of the players were finally there for all to see. The same hunger and desire was on show and brought memories back of last seasons defensive performance and the lethal counter attacks. Lanzini was brilliant. A Messi like finish. Antonio was unstoppable. And as for Carroll… the technique, the power, the ball reading and the accuracy. Goal of the season contender without fail. It was no hit and hope. But the main point we have to make is how the fans pulled together and made the stadium feel like a home. The players knew they owed the fans, Bilic the same too. It was hunger to prove themselves to everyone and they done it perfectly. More performances like that and we will continue to move further up the table. A few additions by the 31st remains to be unseen but if we get the players we are talking about, then I can see the future of this season looking brighter after all the darkness surrounding Payet, as well as the future moving forward in the new stadium.
