Michail Antonio has told West Ham they need to sign a host of players, if they are to qualify for European football. (Express)
I agree with Michail on this one. We really aren’t that far away from challenging for European places in my opinion. We have had a bad year, but we have had a lot to deal with too. I believe once the players are fully settled and we have brought some new quality players in, then we will start to push on.
West Ham are one of three English clubs keeping tabs on Ludogorets striker Jonathan Cafu. (Shoot)
Dean Saunders has backed Slaven Bilic to keep his job at West Ham this summer. (HITC)
I have been a big critic of Slaven lately, but I am not the only one. However, over the past couple of weeks he has changed my mind. I know it seems like I am fickle, but I really do hope Slaven stays with us. He cares about this club more than any other manager could, and I believe that with the correct backing in the summer, then he can really push us on next year.
A brace from Martin Samuelsen last night fired the West Ham u23 into the play offs. (Premier League)
Terry Westley has defended Martin Samuelsen after he received criticism from Peterborough manager Grant McCann. (HITC)
The comments from McCann regarding Samuelsen are crazy. He says Samuelsen lost his confidence, yet he managed to get a brace for our u23 squad last night. Something just doesn’t add up there for me. However, I am glad he is back with us, and I hope we can develop him and make him a first team player soon.
Daniel Sturridge has told friends that he is willing to join West Ham this summer. (Football Insider)
I do like Sturridge and I think he is a brilliant striker on his day, but he is just too injury prone. I would take him if we were guaranteed to get 30 games a season out of him, but unfortunately it just isn’t going to happen. However, it will be interesting to see what happens regarding strikers over the summer.
