Hello Hammers. Here is today’s lunchtime round up.

Slaven Bilic says Tottenham have shown West Ham how to recruit on a limited budget. (Sky Sports)

Tottenham have done well with a limited budget, and it shows that money isn’t everything. However, we are not Tottenham, we are West Ham. We have to spend big this summer to bring in some quality players.

West Ham have asked fans to show passion and not problems ahead of tonight’s London derby against Tottenham. (Evening Standard)

I agree with this, however its unlikely to happen. We all know what Spurs fans are like, just look at the video with Robbie from Arsenal Fan TV. They are horrible fans and always look at causing trouble. I just hope our fans rise above it tonight.

Jermain Defoe is attracting interest from West Ham and Bournemouth. (Sky Sports)

If Defoe were to join either club, Defoe would be looking for around £80,000 a week on a three year deal. (HITC)

I really wanted us to sign Jermain Defoe in January, and I was gutted when we missed out. However, if he is really demanding a three year deal worth £80,000 a week, then I would suggest that we look elsewhere. He is 35 now and he will not warrant that sort of money over the three years.

Slaven Bilic is reportedly intending to recall Ashley Fletcher for the game against Spurs tonight. (HITC)

I would be tempted to recall Ashley tonight. He has looked very good for us in some brief appearances for us this season, and he does deserve more chances. I think he could cause Spurs’ defence a few problems with his pace, but he will need support up top.

West Ham goalkeeper Adrian wants assurances over his future, before committing to a new contract. (HITC)

I would give Adrian a new contract in the summer. He has recently come back into the side and he has done well and it amazes me that he was left out for so long. I still feel we need to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer to challenge Adrian for the number one slot though.

I would just like to say something about tonight’s game, as unfortunately I will not be going. To all the Hammers that are going: Make that stadium as loud as it can be tonight, get behind Slav and the boys and help them get the three points! COYI!!!
