Personal Information
Leander Dendoncker

Age: 22 years

Height: 6ft 2in

Positions : Defensive Midfielder/Centre Back

Nationality: Belgium

Current Team: Anderlecht
Background

Born in Passendale Belgium , Leander is yet another highly rated talent from the production line.

He has played in the Belgium national side since the U16’s and to this day he has 2 Senior Caps for the Senior Side.

He is thought to be one of the upcoming stars of the Belgium team in years to come.

Tipped to be the heart of the midfield and would be a really great coup for any club looking to acquire his services.

Style of play
Dendoncker is a real passer of the ball, he uses that strength to his full advantage and can consistently pick out runners out wide or make a killer pass to a striker.

His long range passing skills would be very useful for a side looking to break quickly and catch teams on the counter as well as maintaining overall play.

He also has the physical attributes required to make him a tough player to come up against, he dominates midfield very well.

He is good in the air, wins the ball for his teammates and contributes well at both ends of the pitch.

Very good at winning the ball back, times his tackles well and works very hard for his team.

Although he can play Centre back his strengths are best utilized in midfield otherwise you completely wasting him with the ability he has.

He always shows up on the pitch, consistent & reliable, not one to shy away, he wants the ball.

Going f0rward he is capable of scoring some cracking goals, unsurprisingly his technique allows him to shoot very well from range and be a threat in the final third.

He has scored some cracking goals in the past, also he is fine with his ball control and doesn’t lose it easy.

He shows all the signs of a really top young player who could play for an Arsenal, Man Utd in my humble option.

So of course Dendoncker would be a top signing for a Premier League club, a great coup for a club like West Ham should the William Carvalho deal fall through.

Although Carvalho would be a fantastic signing, Dendoncker would be a great alternative.

Both would be massive improvements on our midfield.
