Good afternoon everyone. Here is what has been in the news today:

Pedro Obiang, James Collins and Edimilson Fernandes are all set to be available for selection after the international break. (Football London)

As I was saying in yesterday’s article about results improving, well this just adds to what I said. These three are very good players that give us more options and strengthen our squad. Hopefully they can all return and have a positive impact on the side.

West Ham club physio Gary Lewin says that the international break is a key fortnight for several players at the club. (West Ham United)

Declan Rice is aiming to make Martin O’Neill’s Republic of Ireland squad for next summer’s World Cup. (The Irish Sun)

I think Declan has such a big future ahead of him. He is only young, but he is already such a brilliant professional. He has really impressed me this season and if he can keep up that level of performance, then I don’t see why he won’t go to Russia next summer.

Mark Noble and Sam Byram surprised super fan Pan Xiang during a recent visit to Rush Green in celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. (West Ham United)

David Gold has posted a message on Twitter which has angered West Ham supporters. (HITC)

I would say I’m surprised by this, but then that would be lying. Nothing that the board do anymore surprises me, so I don’t really have anything more to say about them.

Watford have joined West Ham in the race to sign SPAL defender Francesco Vicari. (ClubCall)

I’ve never heard of him to be honest, but I wouldn’t want to sign him even if I had. We have two brilliant youngsters in Reece Burke and Reece Oxford that are currently out on loan, so I would rather see us give our youth players a chance than spend money on an unknown player.
