Michail Antonio is back in form with the introduction of a supporting striker in Gianluca Scamacca already paying off.

The Hammers number 9 has been the spearhead of the West Ham front line for almost 2 years, with the striker publicly stating previously that he wanted competition for his spot.

West Ham have worked hard in bringing in the right striker to work with Antonio, and summer signing Scamaccas easing of the workload is evident with Mich looking revitalised, energetic and back to his best.

The pressure of being the only real striker option for all competitions appeared to weight heavily on Antonio last season, with fatigue also clearly a factor, especially in the second half of the campaign.

Despite being 32 years of age, Antonio has gained a new lease of life it seems, now sharing the burden and being able to balance his on-field playing time with the Italian Scamacca already bearing fruition.
