West Ham are eager to reach an agreement to tie down Academy star prospect to a long-term deal following much speculation this summer.

Harrison Ashby was the subject of much transfer talk over the transfer window, despite recently breaking into David Moyes’ first team plans over the last year.

Thankfully Ashby has remained in East London, and our man-in-the-know ExWHUEmployee has confirmed that the club are now going to look to secure his services with a contract offer set to be proposed.

“The club want to keep the player and will be working to reach an agreement,” Ex stated in his weekly section on thewesthamway.com.

However Ex also added that there are other clubs circulating and therefore the offer will need to reflect this with Ashbys performances alerting others to his clear potential.

“The offer though will need to be a good one,” added Ex. “The player as he has Newcastle and Leeds who are interested in signing him.”

Ex has also confirmed the club will be looking at improving deals for other first team players too in the coming weeks with Jarrod Bowen, Ben Johnson and Tomas Soucek high on the list.

The performances of both Soucek and Bowen against Wolves highlighted how valuable they can be for David Moyes, which will only increase the urgency to get new and improved agreements in place.
