West Ham are on the hunt for a new Academy manager following a resignation, with many former players being considered for the role.

The West Ham Way can exclusively reveal that Academy manager Ricky Martin is believed to have resigned from his role over a week ago, as revealed by ExWHUEmployee.

We understand that Martin is set to join Stoke City as Technical Director to the first team, working alongside Alex Neil who he worked with previously at Norwich City, thus now leaving the club in the hunt for his successor.

Former players Jack Collison, Kevin Keen, Kenny Brown Jnr and Steve Potts are all said to potentially being considered for the position. However it could also go to an external appointment.

We can also reveal that Mark Noble is playing a big role in recruitment process.

The West Ham Way will keep fans up to date on the progress of this appointment, and ExWHUEmployee will expand further on this news on The West Ham Way Podcast later.
