Fans in the Stands: “Again Moyes, too little too late”

Following our away loss to yet another so-called ‘big 6’ side, we catch up with our fans to get thoughts on the game, tactics & manager.

West Ham were once again left walking away from a game this season feeling as though more could have been won, but again it’s a case of nothing to show which is a worrying trend this campaign.

David Moyes was right to praise his side for their efforts however there is a growing sense amongst fans that we are simply not being brave or daring enough, especially when it comes to tactics and how we start matches.

Disappointed again ! Why don’t we have a go ? They were poor and still win why can’t we attack instead of just trying to sit and wait ? No creativity in MF just so frustrating and players must feel the same

I’m not calling for moyes head like some fans are but he keeps banging on about he wants us challenging the top 6, Playing negative football for 75 minutes then going for it when it’s too late with the squad we got ain’t the way top teams set up.

I genuinely thought we was god awful. We can’t keep playing like this, defensive and negative for 80 minutes then starting to play football. You need to have a go right from the start, look at Leeds this weekend. It’s basic football. We need to learn to go forward with the ball

However there is also a feeling shared with the manager that we were once again very unlucky, and simply on another day we wouldn’t have walked away from Old Trafford empty handed.

Great performance, started well then panicked after some misplaced passes which cost us confidence and dropped off. Then never stopped the cross for the goal. Came back out and put a lot of great effort in, De Gea was the only thing that stopped any points.

There are brighter days ahead though according to some, with the return of key players including Lucas Paqueta set to make a huge impact soon.

Scamacca needs more service. When Paquetta is back, he will be better.

Got to start feeding Scammacca with quality balls in the box and allow Soucek and others to feed off scraps maybe then we will start scoring and beating these bigger teams.
