David Moyes has hinted that Lucas Paqueta is set to feature in the London derby against Crystal Palace this Sunday.

Our Hammers host Patrick Viera’s Eagles in what is seen as a crucial match to ensuring West Ham finish this ‘half’ of the season with the World Cup break just 2 league games away.

We go into the match with our tails up having broken records this week with Moyes’s side wrapping up the group stage of the Europa Conference League with 6 wins from 6 – the first team to so in the competitions history.

“We’re relatively new in Europe and we’ve had a great group stage two years in a row,” Moyes told the press ahead of this Sunday, as reported by the clubs Official Website.”It’s great credit to the boys doing that having not been in Europe that often.”

West Ham have been without star playmaker and clubs record signing Lucas Paqueta for almost 3 weeks since the Brazilian picked up a collarbone injury in the 1-1 draw with Southampton, but Moyes has confessed Paqueta is now set to return, as reported by The West Ham Way.

“Lucas Paquetá has been training so he’s probably ready to be included in the squad,” stated Moyes. “Whether he’s ready to play we don’t know, but he should be available.

“We’re starting to get players back. Nayef Aguerd played his first 90 minutes last night and that’s great too.”

It will be a huge boost to all connected with the club as West Ham need to be seeking maximum points from the remaining 2 league games, following a somewhat indifferent first period of the season.

Our Hammers have 3 remaining matches in all competitions, with Palace and Leicester remaining in the league, with Blackburn Rovers in the League Cup sandwiched in between – all at the London Stadium.

Moyes will be accutely aware that it will be vital to finish the next week of football on a high before international football takes hold, with West Ham then looking to kick on from Boxing Day onwards.
