As we head into the crucial must-win final Premier League match before the World Cup, I catch up with ExWHUEmployee to discuss the goings on at the club at present.

Ex, its the elephant in the room that I have to ask you about first. What is the current situation with David Moyes and what are the boards thoughts on the situation?

The club fully back him. I have spoken to a number of people within the club within positions of knowledge on this and they’ve told me they’re fully behind him right now – even if we lost to Leicester today.

Personally for me he has to win this match. We cannot afford to go into the World Cup break in such a low mood.

Ex please tell us what the situation is with Max Cornet? This injury recovery seems never ending!

Sadly he will not play now until after the World Cup. This is a calf injury that he has unfortunately had a set-back with and the club will not risk him before the break.

Mark Noble is edging closer to his official return to the club as Sporting Director. What impact do you think this will have?

The impact will be massive. I believe one reason for our form at the moment is the settling down of the new players, especially from abroad. Mark Noble played such a key role in helping the new arrivals settle in.

Declan of course does this now but previously it was both of them and I can see having Mark in and around the place will be such a big lift for everybody.

Ex, your first choice for the Academy Manager, Kenny Brown Jnr, was confirmed. Can you share your thoughts on this appointment.

I am buzzing for Kenny, he’s definitely the right man for the job. His Dad is a club legend and he understands the ethos of what West Ham is about.

His experience in this role at both Millwall and Dagenham & Redbridge is invaluable, plus the players and staff love working with him. I am also delighted for Mark Noble as he had the final say on this and I truly believe its the right call.

You were in a few headlines this week Ex when you stated that West Ham will be after Jesse Lingard once again this January. Can you clarify what the situation is?

Mark I was completely joking on podcast. Basically I was told that Nottingham Forest could be looking to offload Jesse in January, and all I said is that wouldn’t it be ironic if we went back in for him again.

Some people do tend to use my name for click bait and sadly this was the case with this comment. I can confirm that I have no knowledge that we’d want Jesse – maybe best to ask David Moyes on this one!
