West Ham have completed the signing of Brazilian defender Luizao from Sao Paulo, The West Ham Way can confirm.

The highly rated centre back, who will first ply his trade in our famed Academy, has completed his move to East London following work carried out by Rob Newman for a player considered a hot prospect in the game.

The club are set today to formally announce the signing however our man-in-the-know ExWHUEmployee has confirmed that the move is now complete with the player putting pen to paper on a long term deal, having first broke the news of our interest at the beginning of November.

It has been widely reported that many clubs were keen on signing the 20 year old, with Juventus, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Wolves all considered to be keen, so the signing is considered a coup for Newman and the club.

The West Ham Way will provide more details on the deal as it becomes clear, but this is the first confirmed piece of business the club have undertaken following a busy summer in the market.

ExWHUEmployee will be keeping fans up to date on all West Ham matters on Patreon first as always.
