West Ham are continuing to explore the French market and are looking at forwards, with one in particular that the club has enquired about.

ExWHUEmployee has reported on Patreon that the club have scouted Ligue 1 for a long time, with numerous targets having been identified by Rob Newman and his team.

Ex has stated that the club have watched Lorient recently and have been particularly impressed with striker Terem Moffi, and have now made enquires about.

The Nigerian international has been in fine form this season, having notched 10 goals in 14 appearances for the French side, which has garnered attention from other clubs including Southampton.

Moffi started his footballing career in England, having joined Buckswood Football Academy in Hastings at the age of 17 before moving abroad to continue his development, and now plies his trade in the top tier in France.

“He has other clubs interested in him,” stated our man-in-the-know. “But the situation is being monitored.

“The players agent has been pushing a move to a number of English clubs and West Ham are monitoring the situation.”
