West Ham have completed the signing of Danny Ings from Aston Villa, with the forward ready to fire our Hammers up the league.

It has been a fast turnaround with the club eager to add the experienced and prolific finisher to the ranks with the aim getting our season up and running, noting that the former Liverpool hitman signed in time to face Everton in a crunch clash at London Stadium on Saturday.

Ings, who signed for the club in a deal believed to be around £13m, has signed a 2 and a half year contract to add much needed finishing capabilities with many expecting the striker to be thrown staraight into the action against the Toffees in a huge bottom-of-the-table encounter.

The former England striker expressed his delight in heading to East London, however emphasised the importance to get to grips with things quickly with David Moyes’ side desperate to turn around a so far very testing campaign.

“It’s important I settle in as quickly as I can do,” Ings told the clubs Official Website. “Do the important stuff on the pitch for West Ham.

“We’ve got some massive games ahead of us – and I’ve come here to try and score as many goals as I can to help the team to get some positive results. I’m really looking forward to getting started.”

West Ham are set to do battle with an Everton side also suffering a difficult season, with both respective managers (David Moyes & Frank Lampard) under enormous pressure to achieve a positive result. Moyes will be hoping the introduction of Ings will provide a much needed mood lift for all connected with the club ahead of the must-win encounter.
