West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals has called upon his teammates to build on the momentum ahead of our trip to Newcastle this weekend.

The Hammers midfielder, who gained a man-of-the-match award this week for his performance in the 2-0 win over Derby County, stated that his team need to adopt a playing style and tempo they know that works

For too long this campaign West Ham have looked a shadow of the side that have been knocking on the door of the elite over the last 2 years, but signs of improvement are undoubtedly there as we look to extend a positive run of form in our tough trip to St James’ Park on Saturday evening.

“Man for man, I think this season we are far better than we were last season,” Fornals told the clubs Official Website.

“We need to try to play as everyone knows, try to keep the ball, and hopefully keep going after these two wins.

“At the beginning of the season, we weren’t taking all these chances…but I think the most important thing is getting clean sheets and getting stronger at the back too.”

David Moyes will hope this weekend sees the pressure ease future on his position with another positive performance and result, as Newcastle will be a test to see if a corner really is being turned under the Scot’s leadership this season.
