West Ham today head north of the river to face rivals Spurs, with the pressure very much on following results elsewhere in the Premier League.

David Moyes’ side currently occupy a spot in the relegation zone as results from others earlier in the weekend all-but went against our Hammers, making the visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium even more vital that a positive result is achieved.

A recent upturn in performances and results of late has raised hopes that West Ham are starting to show signs of a side ready to climb away from the wrong end of the table, with today’s opponents in inconsistent form of late presenting Moyes an opportunity to gain much needed points.

West Ham will be without Lucas Paqueta today, as confirmed by the Irons manager, with the Brazilian sustaining a shoulder injury – although ExWHUEmployee has reported this week that the injury isn’t as bad as first feared.

Gianluca Scamacca could make his return to action today although his minutes are set to be limited as he continues to build up match fitness. While Nayef Aguerd will be assessed having been training with the side this week after recovering from a groin injury.

Both Max Cornet and Kurt Zouma will not feature as they continue their respected recoveries, with Cornet set to return to training soon.

Spurs will be without Rodrigo Bentancur, Hugo Lloris, Yves Bissouma and Ryan Sessegnon, however both Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Cristian Romero are now available following suspension in their last match.

Manager Antonio Conte will be missing from the sidelines as he continues his recovery from an operation he underwent recently.

The game kicks off at 4:30pm and is being shown live on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sport Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.
