West Ham are set to be given a massive boost as we enter the business end of the season, with the return of Max Cornet, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Hammers winger, who signed from the club in the summer from Burnley, has been absent for over five months with a calf injury he sustained in early October.

Cornet has since been working with a specialist team in France to aid his return, with the diagnosis being that the condition is extremely rare, leaving a lot of question marks over how long he would be out of action for.

The Ivory Coast international though has been making significant strides of late as he finally edges closer to making his long-awaited return to the side ahead of a busy schedule of crucial fixtures.

Our man-in-the-know ExWHUEmployee has now provided a huge update, reporting that Cornet is now set to feature for the U23’s when they play Manchester City tonight.

“Max Cornet is due to play in the PL2 Division 1 game against Manchester City at 7pm tomorrow at Rush Green,” Ex stated on The West Ham Way Patreon. “The player is expected to get at least 45 minutes as he builds up his return to fitness following 6 months out with a calf strain.”

The news will be a massive lift for David Moyes as he seeks to pull away from the wrong end of the Premier League table and reignite our European journey as we play our last-16 round first leg against AEK Larnaca next Thursday.
