West Ham manager David Moyes’ position at the club is again under the spotlight, following a terrible performance and result at the weekend in the 4-0 loss to Brighton.

Our Hammers produced arguably the worst display of an awful season to date, in what our captain Declan Rice described as ‘demoralising’ following the defeat to the media.

Despite signs that the team were starting to at last find their feet at the turn of the year, the showing at the Amex sent shock waves that once again West Ham really are contenders to relegation from the Premier League this season.

There have been many that have been calling for a change in management, even since prior to the World Cup in December, however the clubs hierarchy have stood by Moyes, in the belief that a turn of fortune would soon be materialised under the Scot and that West Ham would pull away from the wrong end of the table.

The performance and result on the south coast has again thrust Moyes under the spotlight, with many losing patience in the narrative that a corner will be turned soon. ExWHUEmployee has now since spoken to a top source within the club to get the latest on Moyes’ position as manager.

“We have spoken to the best placed source on the future of the manager,” Ex reported on The West Ham Way Patreon. “He has told us that ‘despite a very poor performance, we still back the manager.

“This will not be the news that the majority of supporters want to hear, but we can only report on what we are told.”

Ex will be keeping fans fully up to date on the situation should it develop further on Patreon.
