West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca is in line to be given a starring role in Italy’s clash against England tomorrow night.

The Hammers forward, who recently returned to action following a long term knee injury, could be set to face off against his teammate and club captain Declan Rice.

The Euro 2024 qualifier which will be played at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, will be a big opportunity for Scamacca to improve on his fitness and show David Moyes that he should be his number one forward.

Despite question marks over the Italian forwards fitness, Sky Italia have reported that he is looking highly likely to be given a starting spot to lead the line for Roberto Mancini’s side.

Tomorrows match kicks off England’s Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, with Italy seen as the toughest opponent in Group C.

It has also been revealed that Declan Rice will be giving a press conference ahead of the fixture along with Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.
