There has been a lot of speculation of late surrounding the future of David Moyes this summer, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update on the situation.

West Ham boss Moyes has overseen a difficult domestic campaign, with our Hammers still in the midst of a relegation battle having spent the entire season at the wrong end of the Premier League table, this is despite a huge summer outlay on new arrivals.

The club have spent close to £190m across the last two transfer windows, with the likes of Gianluca Scamacca, Lucas Paqueta, Nayef Aguerd and Danny Ings arriving in East London with the intention of West Ham building on the previous consecutive top 7 finishes which saw the club qualify for European football on both occasions.

Although West Ham so far have faired well on the European stage, domestically it has been a long struggle for Moyes, with his side failing to show the drive and consistency demonstrated in previous campaigns under the Scot.

It is this underwhelming season that has prompted much speculation surrounding the future of Moyes at West Ham, with reports suggesting this will be his last with our Hammers already in the process of searching for the correct replacement.

Speaking on The West Ham Way Podcast, ExWHUEmployee has stated that the club have yet to make a firm decision on Moyes’ future and will evaluate the situation once the season has concluded.

Ex did however report that the club are showing interest in other managers, with Brendan Rodgers and Lille boss Paulo Fonseca both said to be admired by the Hammers hierachy and could certainly be candidates for the hotseat should Moyes leave the club this summer.
