West Ham tonight face AZ Alkmaar in one of the biggest matches in recent memory with our Hammers leading the Semi-Final stage ahead of the 2nd leg in Holland.

The 43 year wait for a major trophy has been one all connected with the club have been desperate to see put to bed, and our progression on the European stage this season has many believing that West Ham really could be the favourites to lift the Europa Conference League trophy in Prague next month.

To get there though David Moyes’ side will need to overcome AZ with only a single goal currently separating the 2 sides, with West Ham in the firm knowledge that the encounter  is likely to be a very different affair that took place in the 1st leg at the London Stadium last week.

The home support are expected to create a hostile atmosphere, with the compact stadium set to test the nerves and resolve our our Irons, although with the vast experience within the squad it is hoped we can manage the occasion.

ExWHUEmployee, who will be in attendance as usual tonight, believes that West Ham must show the corouage and passion required to get ourselves over the line and on the plane to the final in June.

“This is such a significant game in our history,” stated Ex ahead of the monumental Semi-Final. “We have one of the most loyal and passionate fan bases in the country and we deserve a European final.

“Two more games could shape whether we have a successful season or a disappointing one – and the players have the ability to make this successful.

“Go out there and play with passion and energy and we will be going to Prague!”
