West Ham are set for changes to the goalkeeper role for next season, it has been exclusively revealed by ExWHUEmployee.

Our Hammers have just concluded a difficult Premier League campaign, having finished 14th despite significant investment last summer following back-to-back top 7 finishes previously.

David Moyes’ side though have fared well in Europe this season, with West Ham in the Final of the Europa Conference League where we face Italian side Fiorentina in just 8 days time.

Alphonse Areola is expected to be in the starting lineup for the match in Prague, with Lucasz Fabianski having taken the role as first-team goalkeeper for our Premier League games as therefore regarded as our number one, however Ex has reported this could be set to change.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our club insider revealed that Fabianski has signed a new deal with the club, however could see his role at the club change from next season.

“Fabianski met the clauses within his contract to trigger an automatic extension,” stated Ex. “These were to play a certain amount of games this season and for the club to remain in the Premier League and both of these were achieved.

“It is thought that next year though could see the roles of the keepers switching over with Areola becoming the first choice league keeper and Fabianski reverting to cup keeper and back up. However, this will depend on how pre-season goes.”
