West Ham legend Tony Cottee has sent out a strong & confident message ahead of the Europa Conference League final in just 3 days time.

Our Hammers head to Prague to face Italian side Fiorentina in the hope of lifting our first major trophy in 43 years, with a growing belief that David Moyes’ side have enough to get the job done.

Despite a difficult campaign domestically, West Ham have produced an excellent campaign on the European stage this season, having remained undefeated in the competition thoughout – however Fiorentina are, as expected, set to prove our toughest test to date.

The Serie A club are going into the final in good form, having won their last 2 matches against Roma and Sassuolo respectively, although our Hammers will be hoping the extra time to recuperate will play into our favour.

Former player and regular writer for The West Ham Way Patreon, Tony Cottee, has sent a confident message head of the showdown next Wednesday night, stating that our Hammers have nothing to fear and believes we will be victorious over Fiorentina.

“We always say that the first trophy is the hardest to win and if we can do that next week, then why can`t we win the Europa League next year and then secure CL football for the first time?” said a confident Tony Cottee. “We should have won it last season and look at Roma this season, winners of the ECL and got to the EL Final under Jose Mourinho. They are the template for us next season and I`m convinced, as I have been all season, that we will win the trophy next week.

“We are the better team, playing in a more competitive League but we have to go out and prove that by getting our team selection and tactics right. History is literally there, waiting to be created for all these lucky players and for David Moyes, the chance to go in to the same Company as Ron Greenwood & John Lyall, as a winning West Ham Manager, some achievement that will be for everyone.”
