West Ham are looking at possibility of a double deal for Manchester United duo Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.

Our Hammers are ramping up their efforts to bring in reinforcements this summer with the new season commencement fast approaching.

“The club held positive talks yesterday morning with Ajax over Alvarez,” reported ExWHUEmployee on The West Ham Way Patreon. “A deal of around £35m is hoped will be concluded soon.”

Director Tim Steidten is also thought to be in talks with Monaco over the sale of Youssouf Fofana, while David Moyes is still keen to sign James Ward-Prowse.

However, it is understood that Scott McTominay also remains firmly on West Ham’s radar, with the 26 year-olds valuation is set at around £40m by the Red Devils.

A double deal could be explored to bring the Scots teammate Harry Maguire alongside him to the London Stadium.

“Talks are still happening with Harry Maguire,” Ex added. “He has apparently been advised to consider offers for him considering he wants to be in England’s Euros Team.

“He is still undecided about the move here but Moyes is prepared to make some promises to him to try to convince him to move.

“There is still interest in McTominay too, and the club have contemplated exploring a double deal.“

West Ham had a loan deal rejected for Maguire and he was deemed to expensive to bring on a permanent. It is thought that it would take around £70m to bring the pair to West Ham.

However, the price could well go down should Sofayan Amrabat, a former target of ours, join the Red Devils.

There is also some lengths to go in convincing either player to join the club. David Moyes remains adamant on building a Premier League proven squad this summer.

While Tim Stiedten works on bringing Alverez and Fofana to the club, it is thought Moyes will do the same for McTominay and Maguire.

West Ham remain in talks with both with the possibility of a double deal potentially on the cards.
