West Ham could well see players depart the club to free up squad space, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The club have been very active in the transfer window thus far, with the arrivals of James Ward-Prowse, Edson Alvarez, Mavropanos and Mohammed Kudus all heading to east London this summer, however more are at this stage expected to arrive.

With this in mind, the club are now likely to offload ‘fringe’ players to free up space in the current squad, with our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex advising that there is interest in a number of players.

“The squad space could be freed by reported interest in Pablo Fornals both from Spain and Saudi Arabia,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“Saudi Arabian clubs have been circulating for Kurt Zouma, but a move now for our current captain seem unlikely at this stage. Maxwell Cornet could be moved on with a couple of Premier League clubs – thought to be possibly his former club Burnley and Palace, although neither are confirmed.

“Everton bad contacted us about Danny Ings and wanted to explore the option of a loan deal with an option to buy, but it appears that Ings wishes to remain at the club. This is despite it being accepted at West Ham that Ings struggles to directly replace Antonio when needed. Other clubs and Everton could still move for the player before the window closes.

“Other potential departures could include Aaron Cresswell but should he stay the left back need becomes less important and Conor Coventry who has yet to be given clear indication of his role within the squad.”
