West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse is understood to have picked up a minor injury, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.
One of the new arrivals this summer, who joined in a £30m deal from Southampton, picked up the injury in training – which understandably has caused much concern amongst everyone connected with the club.
Ward-Prowse has been in stunning form since his arrival, already notching a goal and 3 assists in his opening 3 matches for the club.
However, Ex has provided a positive update, stating that although reports are correct in that the Irons number 7 has picked up an injury – it is in fact a minor one and he should be available to face Manchester City next weekend.
“There is confidence at the club that he should be ok,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.
“There was a knock and some swelling which has gone down but it shouldn’t keep him out for any games. Of course it will be monitored but the hope is (unless something further happens) he should be available well in advance of the Man City game.”
In other news, Jesse Lingard is expected to feature today for the club in a behind closed doors match against Ipswich Town at Rush Green.
Ex will keep fans up to date on the situation with both players as they develop on The West Ham Way Patreon.
