West Ham defender Kurt Zouma has disclosed his love for the club with the Frenchman taking the captains armband in the positive start to the season.

The former Chelsea defender, who joined the club back in 2021, has been a pivotal figure since his arrival in east London – cementing himself as one of David Moyes most trusted and reliable players, which was proven when he was made captain this season.

West Ham have started the season is excellent form, having been unbeaten thus far in the campaign which puts our Hammers in 4th spot on the league table so far.

Zouma has been a key player in the side that has started so well, which was solidified with a winning goal against Luton Town in a 2-1 away win last time out.

The Frenchman has since shared his love for the club, stating that being at West Ham is like being part of a family.

“What I really liked about West Ham is I joined a family,” the defender told the clubs Official Website.

“Everyone was pulling in the same direction and had that togetherness, which is very important. It was a great bunch of lads when I joined, and it still is too!

“We’re always having fun together and, no matter if we win or lose, we’re together.”

Although no official announcement has been made from the club so far, it is widely expected that Zouma will be made official club captain going forward.
