West Ham are already in the process of identifying the next line of transfer targets, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

It was another busy summer in east London, with significant departures as well as arrivals – with the business so far looking to have paid off with a much stronger feel to the side this season.

A key change however in the back room has been our new Technical Director Tim Steidten, who is now the spearhead behind the club’s recruitment strategy and committee.

It has now been reported by our Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee that Steidten is already very much at work in the anticipation of strengthening the squad further, with the January transfer window in the not too distant future.

“I have been advised that Steidten has deployed scouts across Europe now in anticipation for January,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Podcast.

“This is a massive difference from our usual approach, which we know has seemed rather rushed in the past.“

Furthermore, Ex has reported that scouts were in attendance at a recent Porto match, with a couple of players identified as potential targets for the club.

“I can confirm we have scouts in attendance at the Porto vs Gil Vicente match recently, with striker Taremi said to have impressed.

“He’s got an excellent goalscoring record, although he’s 31 so he would be seen as more as an instant impact player rather than one for the future.

“Another one to watch is Sanusi, who is a left back that we could well make a move for.

“He’s quick and has the right attributes to fit in well with our style. With Cresswells future still uncertain, he could well be a player we look to bring in should he depart in January.”
