West Ham Academy star Daniel Rigge is close to signing a long term deal to remain in east London, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Following what was an exceptional season for our Academy of Football in which our U18’s side won both the Premier League South and the FA Youth Cup, the focus is now to continue to work with this exciting crop of players in the hope they will be representing the club at senior level in the near future.

Rigge, who played an integral part of the side as an attacking midfielder and is now plying his trade with the U21’s, has been the subject of interest from others, with the club working hard in recent months to secure the players long term future to West Ham.

The highly-rated player signed a scholarship deal after West Ham secured his services from Manchester City in 2022 – with Rigge now set for a professional contract at the club.

ExWHUEmployee, who was speaking exclusively on The West Ham Way Podcast, has now reported that a deal is close to being secured and announced, which will be seen as a huge piece of business for Kenny Brown and the Academy.

“I can report that Daniel Rigge is now on the brink of signing a deal with the club,” stated Ex. “He’s a highly sought after young midfielder, with us outdoing Manchester City to secure him on a scholarship, which is now close to be announced as a permanent contract.”

Ex will be keeping fans up to date on the progress of all club matters on The West Ham Way Patreon.
