West Ham Technical Director Tim Steidten believes tying Jarrod Bowen to a new deal showcases where the club is right now.

There can be no denying that the club has seen a significant upturn in recent years, with David Moyes guiding West Ham to back-to-back top 7 finishes, a Europa League semi-final and then a remarkable Europa Conference League campaign which saw our Hammers win our first major trophy in 43 years.

This has been followed by a very positive start to the 2023/24 season, with West Ham currently sitting on 14 points after 8 games and occupying top spot in Group A of the Europa League – in our 3rd consecutive venture on the European stage.

There would not have been many Irons fans who would have predicted the growth of our club a few years ago, and now our success has been further emphasised by securing England forward Jarrod Bowen to a new 7-year deal, which could well see him stay in east London for the rest of his career.

Technical Director Tim Steidten, who has been working closely on the deal, believes this statement move from West Ham shows where the club is – which is firmly on the up.

“It’s a sign of the strong position the Club finds itself in when an England international is committing his long-term future to the football club,” Steidten told the clubs Official Website.

“We’re delighted he’s signed a long-term deal and looking forward to him continuing to flourish at West Ham in the peak years of his career.“

Moyes too is of course understandably delighted to see Bowen commit his future to the club, and feels the winger will continue to develop further as a Hammer for years to come.

“His goal in Prague will live long in the memory for everyone connected to West Ham – it’s given him a platform to go from strength to strength and we’re really reaping the benefits, he’s getting better and better,” said the boss.

“He’s a fantastic boy and an outstanding professional – I’m sure his positive progress will continue over the course of his new contract.”
