West Ham are keeping tabs on ex-Manchester City, AC Milan and current Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz.

The Spanish attacking midfielder has found regular football hard to come by for Los Blancos starting for them just once this season.

According to Teamtalk: Diz is: “Considering leaving the Spanish capital to try his luck elsewhere.”

The 24-year-old is keen to make a late bid to join the Spanish squad and is prepared to leave Madrid in order to secure international football.

Diaz was brought up through the Malaga Youth before singing for Manchester City’s youth team where he was involved in 21 goal involvements in 33 games.

Making a move to AC Milan, Diaz also netted 18 goals and made 15 assists for the Italian giants helping them to their first title in years.

While Diaz, who is rumoured to cost around £20m, seems a good player it is odd that West Ham are in search of another attacking midfielder.

West Ham splashed out for Summer signing Mohamed Kudus from Ajax and were adamant on keeping star man Lucas Paqueta after City tried for his signature.

With the Brazilian’s £85m release clause active from next Summer, could West Ham’s interest in Diaz spell the end for Paqueta?

While nothing is clear as of yet, the Hammers interest in another attacking midfielder does ring as odd with starboy Kudus and in-form Paqueta already fighting for that position.

Dont panic just yet West Ham fans.

As we all know, West Ham get linked with numerous players across their transfer sagas and how much interest we really hold in the player is up for debate.

No concrete interest, bid or enquiry has been made as of yet.

Should Paqueta leave however, it is good to know that a potential replacement is already perhaps being considered by the Hammers.
